I found this end table at an Estate sale for $20.00. It was not in very good shape, but I decided
to take a chance on it because the price was right and it had character. It is the first piece I have ever had to do
any stripping on. Thank goodness only
the top needed it. I used liquid sand
paper on the rest. It was separating a
bit where one of the legs was connecting to the side. I asked Gregg if he had any ideas on how to
tighten it up – I had already put primer on it and even started painting it. He told me that he would have to take the
whole thing apart and I probably should have done it before I started painting. He was right of course, but I didn’t like
that answer, so I went to my friend Steve who has his own woodworking
shop. He helped me glue and tighten it up
a bit. It’s not perfect, but it worked.

I painted this for my girlfriend, Jacqueline. I asked her if she had any colors she
preferred or if she wanted to be surprised.
She said ‘surprise me, but I really like green.” I made sure to use green, but also turquoise,
black, white and some yellow for polka dots.
It was very tedious painting the legs – I had to use a very tiny brush
to get in the tight spots where the colors met.
Jacqueline always posts on facebook ‘Live love laugh and celebrate often’
– which made it easy to decide what to do to the top. I finished it off with some embellishments of
mirrors, metal flower charms and upholstery tacks(which I think are really
cool).
