50th Birthday Present

My good friend, Janet, is turning 50 this year.  I thought she needed something fun and crazy for her birthday.  This piece was purchased at a garage sale(big surprise - you probably know by now that I do most of my shopping at garage sales) for $20. 

Before

Janet likes to golf, so I decided to paint the piece with argyles and stripes.  I have always painted furniture with black and white as the trim or background, but her house is decorated with brown.  So... I changed my style and went with brown and cream.  Here is the finished piece.
