Something for my Mom!

My mom is a quilting crazy person - she is currently working on 29 quilts.  Whenever we go to her house she shows us all the quilts she is working on.  When I see one I like, I immediately say "I want that one!" - otherwise someone else will get it.  Well, a couple years ago she showed me a snowman quilt.  If you know me, you know that I love snowmen.  This quilt had hand embroidered all these super cute snowman scenes and had a border around it of different fabrics.  It was all in red and white. I want this quilt bad...I am still waiting for it.  She has all the embroidering done and she did a magnificent job.  So....last Christmas when she came to visit us she saw my end table I painted with the mosaic on top (see Mosaic table post).  She says to me, "you will get your quilt when I get one of those."   I just finished it for her and plan on giving it to her for her birthday.  Here it is.

Happy Birthday Mom!  I love you!

I got these flower designs from a vinyl tablecloth.  They are drawn on the table top with an extra fine tip Sharpie paint marker

I found these drawer knobs at Bring Recycling.

I know it may be Christmas before I get my quilt, but I know it will be worth the wait.  I will post it on here for you to see it.  You will see where I get my artistic talents - from my mom!!
