I was inspired by an artist at the Portland Saturday Market last year. She had small mosaics she made that hung on the wall. They usually had an inspirational word in them and were very colorful. I have been slowly getting supplies for mosaics at random places - garage sales, MECCA, etc. You know how I like to upcycle, so it takes a while to collect all this stuff (I love this part - 'collecting stuff'). Gregg not so much! He thinks I am going to need another room.

| These are my supplies for this project, plus some FIMO clay. |
First I took a hammer to these two plates and broke them into different sized pieces. I placed the plates in a towel on the garage floor and just hammered away. I made letters out of FIMO clay. My alphabet stamps were used to indent the letter. The rest is just like putting a puzzle together. Everything needs to be glued down and then grouted.

| I painted the letters with black paint to make them stand out. |
