The most precious quilt I will ever own!

My mom just finished the most spectacular, beautiful, and detailed quilt I have ever seen.  This is a quilt that will be treasured for many generations.  I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   If you know me, you know that one of my most favorite things are snowmen - so, I just love love love this quilt!!!

Many of you may remember my post last year about a table I painted for her.  She had seen my mosaic end table and told me that I would get my quilt once she got an end table.  She has been working on it for about three years and once you see it you will understand why.  Words will not do it justice so, here it is.

This is my favorite scene with the candy canes on the clothes line - so cute!

She added the Three Sisters in this scene to personalize it for me.

The letters were supposed to be just outlined, but my mom filled them in.  This was all hand done and looks like a machine did it.

She added a bunch of buttons like this heart and the candy cane below.

There are many of these pin wheels on the quilt that flip out.

The feather stitch was an addition between each snowman scene.  She did this after it was quilted and was a very difficult task, because of all the layers and stitching she had to go thru.

She had someone quilt it by machine and they did a beautiful job.   This is just one of the many snowflakes.
